We finally just started by searching online marketing and soon discovered that there's hundreds of companies offering expert advice, articles, blogs, Ebooks, RSS feeds and email newsletters providing a massive amout of information regarding online marketing and the use of online video.

Where do you start?
Online marketing is a must in today's world but where do you start? If you're a small business you probably don't have a huge budget nor the time to spend hours on the net learning to do it yourself.

When we started to look at online marketing we didn’t know where to start and the more we delved into it the more daunting it became.

We had a web site so what should be done first? What was the most important element? Basically where do we start?

Was it keywords, the copy, links or did we need videos and lots of them?

After a few days researching the subject we realised that no one element was more important than another. For our web site aussiehotspots to be really effective we would need to work on each aspect of the site and that it would be an ongoing project.
 For the tourist we need to create a site that tourists and people travelling Australia could visit, see videos of their potential destinations which would enable them to make an informed decision. Our goal is make make a video on every town in Australia. Obviously this is a massive project and one that will take many years to complete but we’ve made a start in Western Australia because that’s where we live.

The second audience is the small business community. We want to help businesses in country Australia take advantage of the Internet as a marketing tool.

So we started by searching the web and subscribing to many blogs, email newsletters and RRS feeds. We also purchased books and a couple of ebooks. We will review the books and articles we have found relevant and post a record of our journey here.
 

 

 



So not knowing where to start I simply started.
